Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who was caught on surveillance video attacking an elderly woman with a pipe before stealing her pizza. According to Tucson police, the assault happened on April 21 just after 3:45 p.m.
The 77-year-old victim was seen on surveillance video leaving Peter Piper Pizza at 3717 S. 12th Ave. with two pizzas in hand. As she opened the door with her back, she was approached by the suspect who eventually struck her in the head with a metal pipe. After the assault, the man fled the scene on foot with one of the pizzas.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion. He was approximately five-feet six-inches tall or shorter, and was also reported to have a "wrinkly face."
